POLITICS: The former President of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) and a three times Presidential candidate Dr. Kiiza Besigye has argued Ugandans to wake up and work together to fight and save the country from the oppression of the NRM government
While Addressing the Red Card Front Press Conference on the State of Affairs in Uganda on Tuesday, April 18th 2023 at People’s Front for Transition Offices on Katonga Road in Kampala, Dr. Besigye reminded Ugandans of many ways through which any one can die and told all those who fear to join the fight because of death that it can find them any where.
The Retired Col. Besigye also criticised the presidential adviser on special operation Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba for his on going activities to him which seems to be against the law. He added that what Muhoozi is doing is the highest degree of selfishness that should not be accepted because Uganda needs a transition not succession.
According to Besigye, an election is not a method that can change Uganda as far as political leadership is concerned that’s why they are mobilising for other alternatives to achieve this mission and when they see the first son using state machinery to campaign while is also a serving military office it proves the point that Mr. Museveni and his family will not leave Uganda by an election.
He urged the opposition in Uganda to come together and use other possible means. He also added that the biggest obstacle for the change they are agitating for are the people with selfish desires.
“I’m remaining with only 3 years to clock 70 years of age but government will test my bitterness within the remaining three years,” Dr. Besigye said.
He said Uganda is organising an Auction instead of an election because whoever has the money and guns wins it all.
